Hello, long time no post here. I want to share a story about this costume: Mona from Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is one of the famous games. It will be an excellent idea for cosplay because it has a complex, colorful, and unique design. It’s challenging for me as a costume maker. 

 

Mona has a complex design. The costume part includes:

Bodysuit

Collar with cape

Stocking

Hat

Gloves

Accessories

We’re using two-tone silk, neoprene, gold PU leather, EVA foam, suede, etc.

It’s been a while since my last post. So here’s an update on one of my latest creations, Mona Megistus from Geshin Impact cosplay costume.

As you may already know, Genshin Impact is one of the hottest games worldwide right now. Aside from the huge gaming community, the game also attracts many cosplay ideas because it has many unique, complex, and colorful character designs.

As a costume designer myself, I also received lots of requests for Genshin Impact costumes. And one of the popular ones is Mona Megistus’ costume.

 

Okay, now to the costume. Mona’s costume consists of several parts. Those parts include a bodysuit, a collar with a cape, stockings, a round hat, a pair of gloves, and some small accessories.

 

To help create Mona’s costume, I got some references from Genshin Impact’s in-game images. Luckily, the game provides enough detail with good-quality images. So, I can draft the costume designs based on the images themselves.

 

In this costume, I used several materials for each part of costume. For example, I used two-tone silk for base, neoprene for stocking, a gold-colored PU leather for accessories, suede, and EVA foam for the accessories. I also collaborated with SSprops which provided the 3D printed parts for the vision trinket.

 

        

 

Overall, this costume has a complex design and details. I enjoyed making this costume because it really challenged my sense of creativity.
