1st Anniversary PUBGM Cosplay Commission by Angel Rose Design…
Hello! It’s been a while since I last posted here. I’ve been more active on Instagram lately (feel free to check it out: www.instagram.com/angelrosedesign).
Today, I’d love to share a bit about my experience creating an official costume for PUBG Mobile, which was featured at the PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2019, held at Mall Taman Anggrek, Jakarta on March 23–24, 2019.
Male Costume Set
The costume set for the male character included:
-
Jacket
-
Innerwear
-
Pants
-
Gloves
Materials Used:
-
PU Leather
-
Neoprene (Scuba)
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the costume-making process!
1st Anniversary PUBGM logo embroidery, handcrafted using manual embroidery technique.
On the back of the jacket, there’s an arrow-shaped motif with a rectangular detail above it. This is the prepared jacket panel with the design ready to be attached or sewn. The pattern was created using a gradient painting technique with metallic series spray paint. The base material I used for this leather jacket is PU Leather.
These are the cut fabric patterns ready to be sewn, along with the costume reference image.
Everything has been airbrushed and is ready for sewing!
The gradient gloves use YKK metal jacket zippers as openings, making them easier to wear.
Female Costume Set
The female costume set includes:
-
Jacket
-
Top
-
Pants
-
Gloves
-
Belt
Materials Used:
-
PU Leather
-
Neoprene
-
Suede
Here are some photos from the making process~
The gloves are 100% finished!
I made them as a separate piece to make them easier to wear. I used neoprene around the wrist area to keep the gloves neat when worn, and the top part is layered with spandex underneath, so it can stretch and fit comfortably on the hand.
The round accessory part uses high-quality buttons, which were airbrushed using two colors of spray paint. The darker blue shade was applied using the metallic series for a more dynamic finish.
The front center and back center of the top feature a waffle-like pattern, as shown in the image above. The inside is layered with foam and lining, stitched in a diamond pattern to create a raised, textured effect. For the chest area, I added cups to give it a cleaner and more structured look.
The handmade embroidery has been attached to the back of the jacket.
And here’s the final look of the costume! 🙂
The entire costume took approximately two weeks to complete.
I also had the chance to stop by the event and take some photos while I was there!
